Who runs the Workshops?

Lisa Balcombe - Senior Agent/Director. Lisa founded Alphabet Kidz Agency in 2003 and has spent over 20 years building a trusted reputation within the industry for discovering, developing and representing exceptional young talent. Lisa is dedicated to securing outstanding opportunities across television, film, theatre, commecials and voice over work, whilst building strong, lasting relationships with artists, casting directors and industry professionals. Lisa and her team are committed to championing their artists, offering individual guidance and coaching when needed, to help each actor achieve their full potential. Lisa is passionate about discovering natural talent and providing a professional platform to promote our talent within the industry.

Maisy Bextor, Talent Manager comes from a production background and made the move into talent management two years ago, she is a valuable and dedicated member of the team. She will be someone you will be in lots of contact with if you are represented by us.  Maisy will manage all elements of a successful booking within the agency, liaising with you across all projects, as the go-between, between our artists and our clients.

All Agency staff attend the sessions to get to know all our artists in readiness for professional opportunities at The Agency.

When available, we have the wonderful, *Cindy O’Callaghan - Actress, BSc (Hons) Degree, Institute for Art and Therapy and Education. Cindy's history as a successful Hollywood actress combined with her current youth work and child psychotherapy training was a perfect match. Cindy first starred (age 12) as 'Carrie' in 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' and went on to star in many other Disney projects over a 12 year period; and numerous TV series in the UK, including Eastenders. As a child actress herself, Cindy is well aware of the pitfalls and experiences a young actor can expect in their career. Cindy is available for our six week workshops, not our 2 hour introduction sessions.

Alphabet Agency sometimes invites Casting professionals to come along to our Master Classes to meet our young artists. They see first hand how we work with our young actors as well as talent spot for their up and coming projects. Many of our artists have been booked for their first booking by casting directors attending our workshops for the BBC, Disney and Nickelodeon.
